Welcome to Chapelton Cottages!
Chapelton Cottages are two traditional Scottish farm cottages located just off the coast in the heart of rural South West Scotland, just seven miles from the idyllic artist town of Kirkcudbright .
Why come to Chapelton Cottages?
Situated along a private lane on family-owned farmland, these cottages command stunning views over the countryside in all directions and down to the Irish Sea a short distance away. These quaint self-catering cottages offer perfect peace and tranquillity, as well as the ideal base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway, a region known for its rugged coastline and undulating landscape, its great wealth of outdoor activities, charming towns and villages and, not least, its warm-hearted and welcoming residents.
A short drive away, and within easy walking distance, you are most welcome to visit and use the facilities of the multi-award winning Brighouse Bay Holiday Park, which boasts exciting attractions for adults and children alike, including the clubhouse with its restaurant and bar, swimming pool and games room, pony trekking, quad biking, and a scenic 18-hole golf course with spectacular views over the cliffs to the Irish Sea.
Just down the road on our neighbouring farm is Dunrod Lodge, a large timber building sleeping 10 with beautiful views out to the sea.
We recently completed the careful restoration of the old Coachman's Cottage, part of the farm steading and now a stunning 2 bed cottage with plenty of character.
